"Heather's Lament" - Electronic, Pop, Rock

Inspiration for Artwork or Music: "Heather's Lament" - This track was ultimately inspired by Akira's uplifting pop songs on the Silent Hill Sountrack Series. Specifically this track was meant to capture the essence of our protagonist Heather, from Silent Hill 3. It is meant to have an upbeat and fun tempo ... with an underlying sadness and longing for something ... She is beautiful, she is strong but young and vulnerable as well.

Creative Process: The creative process to create these tracks was pretty straight forward - obsess over Akira's genius for many many many years. Listen to favorite tracks by said genius. Completely rip him off. Seriously though ... I would start by programming a drum beat ... then add an acoustic guitar part, followed by a bass line and then finally a lead guitar line. I would double the lead guitar line in some cases to give it a more full sound. In the end I would do any tweaking, add effects and additional percussion as needed. I created each of these tracks in one sitting (per track). I like to start and finish a track on the same night - I crave instant gratification. :)

Other related information about your work: Not much to say - pretty straight forward ... I have an intense amount of love and respect for Akira and was ecstatic to get a chance to work on something so heavily inspired by the Silent Hill franchise which has had a huge impact on my life (as a gamer, a musician and an individual).
